Gillian Hatton is a specialist in economic development strategy, and trade and investment development. With nearly 20 years as an economic development practitioner, she has a successful track record in developing and implementing business retention, attraction and expansion strategies with economic development agencies and communities in North America, the United Kingdom, and overseas.

 

Gillian has undertaken numerous assignments to facilitate job creation, investment, and sustainable economies. As a strategic advisor to governments, and economic development organizations around the world, she has worked with a range of clients including Enterprise Florida, Business Birmingham, The Welsh Government, The Western REN, The North of England Inward Investment Agency, Ontario East Economic Development Commission, The Province of Ontario, The Nova Scotia Government, and communities both large and small across Canada.

Gillian has a substantial track record in the compilation detailed and strategic sector studies encompassing the value chain, location assets, investment attraction variables, supply chain gaps and key sector strengths to facilitate the development of value propositions and the targeting of specific industry sectors, geographic areas and companies.
